Strike of March 28: what is the course of the demonstration in Paris?

While Emmanuel Macron receives Prime Minister Elisabeth Borne and the majority leaders this Monday noon, a new day of mobilization is planned for Tuesday March 27, particularly in the capital. Here is the route of the Parisian demonstration.

A tenth day of protest. The inter-union called for a new day of strikes and interprofessional demonstrations throughout the country this Tuesday, March 27 against the adoption of the pension reform.

After a strong mobilization on Thursday March 23, the authorities fear new excesses. In Paris, between 70,000 and 100,000 people are expected in the capital.

The event will start at 2 p.m. from Place de la République (10th) to reach Place de la Nation (12th) at the end of the day. The main route will be via Boulevard Voltaire (11th), but a second route has already been announced. The latter will pass through Bastille (11th). His departure has meanwhile been postponed by half an hour, so he will leave around 2:30 p.m.

During the last day of mobilization, Thursday March 23, 800,000 demonstrators marched through the streets of the capital according to the CGT and 119,000 according to the Ministry of the Interior.
