The news about the ceremony was also confirmed by Vatican spokesman Matteo Bruni: “I can confirm that, since he is expected to leave the hospital today, the Pope should be present in St. Peter’s Square on Sunday to the Eucharistic celebration of Palm Sunday,” he said.

Leaving the polyclinic on Saturday April 1, Pope Francis was reassuring in front of the faithful who were waiting for him in front of the hospital, even sketching a touch of humor: “I am still alive”, he joked. to the journalists present, explaining that he “just felt bad”, but that he was not afraid.
