A dissonant voice within the presidential party. The Renaissance MP for Côtes-d’Armor Éric Bothorel regretted, this Thursday, March 16, the use of article 49.3 by the government to force the adoption of the pension reform project. He expressed a feeling oscillating between “disappointment and anger” on social networks.
We should have gone to the vote. I oscillate between disappointment and anger after this 49.3
We owed that: to our opposition, to those who until then have expressed their disagreement with the reform, always in calm and dignity.

“We should have gone to the vote, I oscillate between disappointment and anger. We owed that: to our opposition, to those who until then have always expressed their disagreement calmly and with dignity. Defeat or victory, democracy would have spoken”, assured the elected official on Twitter this Thursday.
Stéphane Séjourné “not favorable to 49.3”
In line with the pension reform presented by the government, the secretary general of Renaissance Stéphane Séjourné nevertheless warned on Sunday that he was against the use of 49.3.
“I am not in favor of 49.3 on this text. The vote is legitimate, because you can have a majority. Until the end, we must remain in this perspective, ”explained the latter in the columns of the Journal du dimanche.

The use of Article 49 paragraph 3 of the Constitution has therefore created internal tensions within the presidential majority, as with LR, a political party mainly supporting the reform. These divergences could have a significant importance on the motions of censure prepared by the opposition and whose vote is envisaged in the next days.
