NATIONAL EDUCATION – While the first exams of the 2023 baccalaureate will be held at the beginning of next week, if they are not disturbed by the call for a strike by teachers’ unions against the pension reform, Pap Ndiaye announces this Tuesday, March 14 that the Terminal high school students will be able to revise on Friday and Saturday instead of going to class.
“For the sake of equality between candidates, I have decided that in all high schools, Friday and, depending on local situations, Saturday, should be devoted for final year students to reviewing the specialty teaching tests”details the Minister of National Education in a tweet and a press release responding to a request from elected officials of the national council for high school life.

32% of the final baccalaureate mark
The specialty tests, scheduled for Monday 20, Tuesday 21 and Wednesday 22 March, and relating to a narrow part of the program, open the 2023 baccalaureate, the first organized in a formula, which is being rolled out for the first time in its entirety since the exam reform dating 2019.
In this context, the two terminal specialties selected by each high school student are assigned a coefficient of 16 and count for 32% of the final mark of their baccalaureate. The change in calendar was justified at the time by the government ” so that the grades obtained can be taken into account in the Parcoursup files”.
