The Monegasque company Mc Clic, specializing in the design of drones, is entering the market for personal flying vehicles. The MC One is an eVTOL, or aircraftaircraft electric vertical take-off and landing (Adav), designed for one person.
The device looks like a dronedrone disproportionate, with its eight propellers in carboncarbon powered by eight electric motors. The MC One weighs 160 kilogramskilograms, and can carry a pilot weighing up to 90 kilograms. It can take off vertically at a speedspeed of eight meters per second, and move forward at a maximum speed of 80 km/h, in which case it leans at an angle of 55 degrees. It has an advertised autonomy of 12 to 15 minutes.
A bit expensive compared to the competition
According to the firm, it will take about ten minutes to learn to fly it. By way of comparison, the Jetson One which will be released next year will cost less than 90,000 euros, will be faster with a maximum speed of 100 km/h, and will offer better autonomy, around twenty minutes. However, McClic has not yet announced a release date.
