TikTok user Julia (@julia.berit) responded to fellow influencer Madeline White’s video in which she discusses the pinning of clothes on sets.

“I love this creator’s video about how they pin clothes on sets to make the models look better in the clothes that the clothes actually look,” Julia told viewers in her clip.

She continued: “Another trick they use for plus-size girls specifically is hip padding.

“So many brands have models wear different types of shapewear on set, so trust me it’s not you, it’s the clothes,” Julia explained in the clip’s caption.

“If you’ve seen those girlies with the BBL hips but they don’t actually have those in real life, it’s these guys right here,” the TikToker said.

The curvy creator showed her followers the removable hip pads.

“These are like $20 from Amazon and when I started modeling these were a literal requirement. You had to bring these to set with you,” the model explained.

Julia showed her followers the before and after results of the hip pads.

The influencer posed in the $84 Fits Everybody long slip dress in the color Neon Rose.

“This is me in the Skims Fits Everybody dress, I look like this. Let me show you it with these guys,” she said.

Modeling the hip pads under the dress, Julia told her followers: “These hips are giving the Kardashians a run for their money.”

The model continued: “It’s giving Sofia Vergara, it’s giving Shakira. These hips do lie though.

“If your dress or jeans don’t look how you imagined them, it’s because of pinning and hip pads like this. It’s not you, it’s them,” she concluded.

TikTok users took to the comments section to share their thoughts on the fashion hack.

“I always wondered why all the plus girls had a full hourglass figure,” wrote one viewer.

Another follower said: “I am gobsmacked. I just thought they only used hourglass plus-size models and it’s always annoyed me.”

“This video did more for me than any therapy session,” commented a third person.
