While the Girondins were still dreaming of the climb before the last day of Ligue 2, Friday evening, a Bordeaux supporter, present on the edge of the lawn, pushed a player from Rodez who had just scored, which led to the stoppage Match…
The catastrophic end of the season Girondins of Bordeaux turned tragic on Friday evening during the last day of Ligue 2. A week after losing 2nd place in the standings (at the expense of FC Metz), the Aquitaine team only played 22 minutes against Rodez on Friday evening . This meeting at Matmut Atlantique was stopped by the referee.
Lucas Buades opened the scoring for the Ruthenians (in the middle of the race for maintenance) and, during his celebration in front of a TV camera, he was violently pushed by a person present on the edge of the field. Two RAF players then remained on the ground for a few minutes, causing the game to be interrupted in a poisonous atmosphere.

After 45 minutes of waiting, Mr. Rainville, during a press conference, explained that the injured player (probably Buades, but his name was not mentioned) had been examined by a “local” emergency doctor before to be evacuated to a hospital for further examinations. The officials have thus decided to stop the meeting.
As indicated by the LFP, the status of the match will be decided at the next meeting of the Disciplinary Committee. Bordeaux is therefore preceded by FC Metz, which receives Bastia. Rodez, for the moment, has not taken any points and can find himself relegated at the end of the 9 other matches of this 38th and last day of Ligue 2.
