a bug prevents many players from accessing their game even though they have purchased the game

Diablo 4 has been available in early access for a few hours now and yet many players are still unable to launch the game. Indeed, they are greeted with an error message telling them that the game could not verify their license, as if they hadn’t bought it yet. Blizzard is already working on a solution.

diablo 4

Last night, at 1 a.m., many players rushed to their PC or console to launch Diablo 4. The new Blizzard title was indeed entitled to its launch in early access, a few days before its official release, set for June 6. A great moment of communion for fans of the license… but also a big disappointment for some unlucky ones.

On PS5, the launch was somewhat rougher than on PC and Xbox Series. On social networks, many people report a strange error message when logging in. After joining the server and entering the queue, the game indicates that it is “unable to find a valid Diablo 4 license” on the console, accompanied by the code 315306. Of course, the players in question have purchased the game and therefore have said license.

How to Bypass the Diablo 4 License Bug

Worse still, it seems that this bug particularly affects players who have purchased the most expensive version of Diablo 4, the Ultimate edition at 99 euros. Suffice to say that the news goes badly among the latter. Fortunately, a temporary solution exists, until Blizzard fixes this bug. Indeed, several users have noticed that all you have to do is make a purchase on your console for the game to finally agree to launch.

However, if you have already spent a hundred euros in the title, we can understand that you are reluctant to spend even more money. However, if you are already subscribed to PlayStation Plus, another solution is possible: just download a free game included in the catalog. By then restarting Diablo 4 on your PS5, it will no longer display the license validation error message.

For its part, Blizzard reacted quickly by confirming that a definitive solution is under development. Hopefully it rolls out before the official launch next week.
