A big surprise at OM?

Forced to find a new coach after the resignation of Igor Tudor, Olympique de Marseille could set their sights on an unknown coach.

It floats like an air of deja-vu above Marseille. Because like last season, OM were planted by their coach. After Jorge Sampaoli, it was indeed Igor Tudor who decided to leave Ciel et Blanc, just one year after his arrival at the head of the Marseille club. This time at least, the Croatian technician did not wait a few days before the resumption to signify his departure…

Pablo Longoria and Javier Ribalta, the two strong men of the Marseille club, can therefore take their time to find the right man. Several names have already been mentioned, including those of Marcelino and Marcelo Gallardo. Some French technicians would also find favor in the eyes of the president of OM and his right-hand man: Franck Haise and Régis Le Bris.

The same agent as Pablo Longoria…

But according to the specialized site Get French Football News, a much less renowned technician in France could land with Ciel et Blanc. Pablo Longoria would indeed have ticked the name of Ange Postecoglou. Born in Athens, the Greek has spent his entire playing career in Australia, even playing with the Socceroos, and also stayed in Australia for a long time after embarking on a coaching career. After a three-year exile in Japan, this former defender did not return to Europe until 2021 when he took the reins of Celtic Glasgow, with the key to two Scottish champion titles.

Another argument pleads in favor of the Greek technician: he is represented by Frank Trimboli of the CAA Sports agency, just like Longoria…
